Torchingale (“we”, “us”, “our”) built the Cozydoro app (“the App”) as a freemium application with optional paid upgrades (Cozydoro Pro). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Cozydoro, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 No Account

Cozydoro has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not ask for your name, email address or any other contact details to use the App.

1.2 Content You Create

Pomodoros and their settings, session history and statistics, reminders, tasks and projects (task board) and your preferences are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to us or to any cloud service, and they are not synced between devices.

1.3 Usage & Diagnostic Data

  • Firebase Analytics collects usage data (e.g. screens viewed, features used such as starting or completing a focus session or choosing a scene, app/device type, language, country) to help us improve the App.
  • Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports and diagnostic data (device model, OS version, stack traces) so we can fix bugs.
  • Firebase Remote Config delivers configuration values (such as update notices) to the App and may process device/app identifiers.
  • Firebase Cloud Messaging lets us send occasional announcements to all users; it uses a device token managed by Firebase.

Analytics and Crashlytics are on by default. You can turn them off at any time in Settings → “Share usage data”. We never use this data for advertising or ad tracking, and the App shows no ads.

1.4 Purchases

Cozydoro Pro is processed by the App Store / Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details. RevenueCat processes an anonymous purchase identifier and your purchase status to unlock Pro.

1.5 Permissions Used

  • Notifications — to deliver timer alerts, your reminders, gentle focus nudges (you can turn them off in the app) and the ongoing timer notification (Android) / Live Activity (iOS).
  • Internet — for the optional focus radio, the in-app blog and the services listed in this policy. The timer, scenes and sounds work offline.

1.6 Third-Party Content

  • Focus radio — station lists come from radio-browser.info and audio streams are loaded from third-party public radio sources, only when you turn the radio on.
  • Blog — articles are loaded from torchingale.com when you open them in the App.
  • Google ML Kit Translation — translation runs on your device; the language model is downloaded from Google once, and your text is not sent to us.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information to:

  • Provide, operate and maintain the App and its features.
  • Unlock and manage Cozydoro Pro.
  • Analyze usage and crashes to improve performance and stability.
  • Respond to support requests.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. Data Storage

Everything you create stays on your device. There is no backup or sync service: if you uninstall the App or change phones, your pomodoros, statistics and tasks are not transferred.

4. Data Sharing

We share information only with the service providers required to run the App:

  • Google / Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Messaging, ML Kit)
  • RevenueCat (purchase management)
  • Apple App Store and Google Play (purchases)
  • radio-browser.info and radio stream hosts (focus radio, when used)

Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

  • Data stored on your device remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. Deleting a pomodoro also deletes its session history.
  • Because Cozydoro has no accounts, we hold no personal data that is linked to you. Analytics and crash data are kept by Google under Firebase’s retention settings.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g. GDPR/CCPA/KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (including provider-side encryption in transit) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
