Privacy Policy - Cozydoro
App: Cozydoro Developer: Torchingale Contact: [email protected] Last updated: 21 June 2026
Torchingale (“we”, “us”, “our”) built the Cozydoro app (“the App”) as a freemium application with an optional paid subscription. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Cozydoro, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
If you choose to create an account or sign in, we collect:
- Email address and display/full name (when you sign up with email, Google, or Apple).
- Authentication identifiers managed by Firebase Authentication.
You can also use the App as a Guest without creating an account. Signing in is optional and only required for features such as CozyHub sharing and cloud backup.
1.2 Content You Create
Pomodoro presets, tasks and projects (task board), custom audio mixes, custom background categories and images you add from your gallery, statistics, and reports are stored locally on your device. This data is uploaded to your own cloud storage only when you explicitly enable Backup (Google Drive or iCloud) or share a template to CozyHub.
1.3 Usage & Diagnostic Data
- Firebase Analytics collects anonymized usage data (e.g. screens viewed, features used, app/device type, language, country) to help us improve the App.
- Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports and diagnostic data (device model, OS version, stack traces) so we can fix bugs.
- Firebase Remote Config delivers configuration values to the App and may process device/app identifiers.
1.4 Purchases
Subscriptions (CozyPRO) are processed by the App Store / Google Play and managed via RevenueCat. We do not collect or store your payment card details. RevenueCat processes a purchase/anonymous identifier and subscription status to grant entitlements.
1.5 Advertising
Free versions of the App may display ads via Google Mobile Ads (AdMob), which may use device identifiers to serve and measure ads. On iOS we request App Tracking Transparency permission before any tracking. You can choose not to allow tracking.
1.6 Permissions Used
- Notifications — to deliver Pomodoro reminders and timer alerts.
- Photos / Gallery — only when you pick a custom background image.
- Network / Connectivity — to load Pexels images, focus radio, AI suggestions, quotes, ads, and cloud backup.
- Internet — required for the features above.
1.7 Third-Party Content
- Pexels — image search results are fetched from Pexels’ API when you search backgrounds.
- Google ML Kit Translation — on-device translation; text is processed locally and not sent to us.
- Focus radio — audio streams are loaded from third-party public radio sources.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information to:
- Provide, operate and maintain the App and its features.
- Authenticate you and sync/backup your data when you enable it.
- Grant and manage subscription entitlements.
- Analyze usage and crashes to improve performance and stability.
- Show and measure advertising (free version).
- Respond to support requests.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Data Storage & Backup
Your content is primarily stored on your device. When you enable Backup, an encrypted/packaged backup file is stored in your own Google Drive (app data folder) or iCloud account. Only you can access these backups. Deleting a backup in the App removes it from that cloud storage.
4. Data Sharing
We share information only with the service providers required to run the App:
- Google / Firebase (Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics, Remote Config, Messaging)
- RevenueCat (subscription management)
- Google AdMob (advertising)
- Apple (App Store, iCloud, Sign in with Apple)
- Pexels (image search)
Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Locally stored data remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- You can delete your account in Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes your account and associated server-side data and cannot be undone.
- To request deletion of any remaining data, contact us at [email protected].
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location (e.g. GDPR/CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to opt out of ad tracking. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures (including provider-side encryption in transit) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
